Product Description

"PEGAS" v2. 0 ( PEGASUS) - non-linear radar.

The nonlinear locator is designed to detect any electronic devices, including covertly installed in a room and car, containing semiconductor elements (radio microphones ("bugs"), mini-voice recorders, GPS trackers ("beacons"), hidden video cameras, mobile phones ("GSM transmitters"), etc.) during the survey. The principle of operation of the nonlinear locator gives almost 100% guarantee of detection of electronic devices, unlike many other search devices.

PURPOSE OF THE NONLINEAR LOCATOR:

The nonlinear locator is designed to detect any electronic devices, including covertly installed in a room and car, containing semiconductor elements (radio microphones ("bugs"), mini-voice recorders, GPS trackers ("beacons"), hidden video cameras, mobile phones ("GSM transmitters"), etc.) during the survey. The principle of operation of the nonlinear locator gives almost 100% guarantee of detection of electronic devices, unlike many other search devices.

PRODUCT OPERATION

The product consists of a transmitter, two receivers, a processing and display unit, and an antenna unit.

The transmitting antenna creates an electromagnetic field in the area of its radiation pattern. When a device containing semiconductor elements (diodes, transistors, or contact connections of two or more metal objects in the presence of oxides) appears in this field, the receivers register the appearance of signals of the second and third harmonics of the frequency of the transmitter.

From the outputs of the receivers, the signals are sent to the processing and display unit of the received information. According to the LED indicators indicated in red and green, the levels of the received signals at the 2nd and 3rd harmonics are reported.

The LED indicators of the signal levels of the receivers of the second (red) and third (green) harmonics and the power level indicator of the transmitter (blue) are located on the antenna unit.

The type of detected element with non-linear characteristics can be judged by the ratio of the harmonics level. Semiconductor elements such as a diode, transistor form a reflected signal with a maximum at the 2nd harmonic. A non-linear element formed by the mechanical contact of 2 or more metal objects forms a reflected signal with a maximum at the third harmonic. To correctly determine the harmonic ratio, the indicator should not be overloaded. In the process of working with the product, it is necessary to use the settings of the power of the transmitter and the sensitivity of the receivers.

To check the performance of the product, you must use the Non-linearity Indicator included in the delivery package.

The "20K" mode allows you to listen to the low-frequency signal of a working device (tape recorder, radio transmitter, microphone amplifier). In this mode, the signals at harmonic frequencies received by the product are modulated by a low-frequency signal available in the electronic circuits of the detected or investigated device.

This mode of operation of the product is a powerful tool for obtaining better information about the type of non-linear element. A non-linear element formed by the contact of metal objects generates a signal with an unstable reception mode. When tapping on the place under study, a characteristic sound will appear in the head phones, synchronous with the beats. To obtain this effect, when using the device, light hand strikes on a wall made of reinforced concrete slabs with a thickness of 15 cm are sufficient.

The product is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery life is designed for 4 hours of continuous operation of the product.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The non-linearity locator is made in the form of a non-collapsible structure consisting of an antenna unit and a handle-rod connected by a hinge.

The control buttons and the display are located on the handle of the device.

WORKING PROCEDURE

Direct the antenna of the product away from the operator and other persons, while in the direction of radiation, the presence of large electronic products should not be assumed. (Monitor, TV.) Turn on the device by pressing the "on/off" button. At the same time, the blue light indicators should light up.

Check the performance of the product, for what:

•         select the orientation of the antenna of the product so that the headsets do not listen to the low-frequency signal and do not light up the harmonic level indicators;

•         without changing the orientation of the antenna, bring the 2nd harmonic simulator to it. The phone should beep and one or more red indicator LEDs should light up.

•         without changing the orientation of the antenna, bring the 3rd harmonic simulator to it. The phone should beep and one or more of the green indicator LEDs should light up.

If all the LEDs on both indicators light up, indicating that the indicator is overloaded, you need to adjust the sensitivity of the receivers by switching the positions of the input attenuators. As the sensitivity of the receivers decreases, the detection distance of the simulator may decrease.

The product is considered ready for use. The operator chooses the level of power emitted by the transmitter at his own discretion.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

•         The transmitter operates in continuous mode in the frequency range 883.7-888.7 MHz.

•         Frequency tuning step of 100 kHz.

Technical characteristics of the receivers:

•         The frequency settings of the receivers are equal to twice and triple the frequency of the transmitter, respectively.

•         The actual sensitivity of each receiver at a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 6 dB minus 134 dB/W.

•         The dynamic range of the receivers is at least 30 dB.

•         In the "20K" mode, the receivers emit signals that modulate the amplitude of the sequence of radio pulses.

•         The spectrum width of the demodulated signal is 500-2000 Hz.
